When Should I Apply? …. As early as possible!
The FAFSA can be completed beginning January 1 or as soon as you (and your parents, if dependent) have filed your tax return for last year. It is important to complete this process prior to the term for which you are applying for aid.
Your application must be received no later than June 30, 2016 to be considered for aid in the 2015-2016 year.
Your application must be received no later than June 30, 2017 to be considered for aid in the 2016-2017 year.

Pennsylvania students must complete the FAFSA process by May 1 to receive state grant consideration for the following Fall term.
